This webpage was created to keep our community informed about the latest updates regarding COVID-19.

Update on March 21 2020

New Zealand is currently at Alert Level 2-Reduce.  This means the disease is contained however the risk of community transmission is growing.  If you are above the age of 70, have underlying respiratory issues or a compromised immune system, the Government advises you to stay at home as much as you can.  We encourage whanau to contact kaumatua and kuia via phone and assist where possible to ensure their health and wellbeing. Latest travel restrictions

On March 19 the New Zealand Government introduced further travel restrictions that came into effect at 11.59pm.  From this time only New Zealand Citizens, permanent residents, residents with valid travel conditions and their immediate family may enter New Zealand. Any New Zealand residents and citizens returning from overseas are required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival.

Events, graduation and large gatherings

The New Zealand Government have directed that gatherings of 500 people or more in close proximity outdoors, or 100 people or more indoors, should be cancelled.
